چکیده
Certain disadvantages could have appeared while using hot mix asphalt (HMA), such as the release of unhealthy gases into environment (environmental issues), difficulty in sustaining temperature over long distances (logistical and consuming a sufficient amount energy preparing laying down (practical economic issues). To overcome aforementioned issues, this study aimed to develop rapid-curing emulsified cold mixes (EACM) comprising cementitious filler made from industrial by-product materials. Paper sludge ash (PSA) is used an active for application EACM rather than conventional mineral filler. Additionally, maximize effect PSA’s hydraulic activity, incinerated sewage (ISA) utilized activator at concentration 0%–4% by mass aggregates. The results demonstrate that use waste PSA significantly improves indirect tensile stiffness modulus (ITSM) around 10 times more after 2 days traditional mixes. In addition, improvement ITSM was 30% 65% 6%PSA+1%ISA 6%PSA+4%ISA mixes, respectively. Furthermore, rutting decreased 19% 11% comparison 131-pen HMA. formation hydration products rapid demulsification emulsion, which binding within mixtures, are responsible increased resistance. As result, environmental issues minimized, preservation may be maintained.
